A California native born in Chico,  I have spent the past 23 years living
in San Francisco, working as a scientist. My connection to the
natural world began early, exploring and hiking through Bidwell Park
with a curious and observant eye.

For many years, photography served as my primary medium for
expressing that perspective and sharing my appreciation for
landscapes and natural beauty. More recently, after discovering
pottery, my creative focus shifted to clay. In my ceramic work, I aim
to highlight the inherent beauty of the material itself—often leaving
surfaces raw and textured, and using earth tones that emphasize a
quiet balance between the natural and the intentional.

Pottery has opened an endlessly engaging path for pure joy and
exploration. Each day in the studio presents a new opportunity to
experiment, discover, and express something that feels both
grounded and evolving.
